Extensive research reveals that a substantial portion of these individuals earnestly desire to settle their debts; however, they grapple with the intricate web of constraints imposed by credit penalty mechanisms, impeding their path to credit restoration. The project titled "Path of Cul-de-sac" uniquely leverages the realm of gaming to offer players an experiential insight into the cyclic existence entrenched within China's credit penalty system, as encountered by those ensnared in defaulted. The aim is to explore the multifaceted challenges and conditions confronting this demographic, alongside discerning societal perspectives directed towards them.
The game is distinguished by an introspective loop mechanism. Players assume the role of defaulters and traverse diverse scenarios within a virtual world, endeavoring to carve out sustainable livelihoods. However, regardless of their exertions, the shadow of default persists as an insurmountable hurdle, coercing them toward despondency and ultimately leading them back to the starting point. The project seeks to immerse players within the trials encountered by defaulters, thereby encouraging societal consciousness and prompting contemplation on themes encompassing credit dynamics, communal responsibility, and the complex realm of debt. A primary thrust involves advocating for the establishment of a more impartial and inclusive credit restoration system, one that offers genuine defaulters the opportunity to reintegrate into society.
